The Guerrilla Girls and The Yes Men are activist who are against the male centric society in our general public.  The Guerrilla Girls are facing sexism and The Yes Men are facing private enterprise in our general public.  I had a hard time directly connecting these activist to the activism in my project.  My semester project is focusing on art that is created from ultrasounds.  My major is sonography so I chose to focus on ultrasounds.  All paintings are hand painted original artworks created by Laura Steerman.  She painted the output of a lady who discovered she had uterine cancer while pregnant.  Laura's hobby additionally roused Laura to team up with Irish philanthropy Féileácin, which supports parents who've endured unsuccessful labors.  So now, a level of each work's profit is given to the association.  My project is creating activism from an initial problem or complaint.  This complaint being that ultrasounds do not capture a good photo of the baby growing inside a mother's belly.  Laura Steerman's own ultrasounds are what encouraged her to paint these portraits.  If this problem had not come up Steerman's work would not have came to be.  A portion of her paintings earnings would not be given to an organization that supports parents who have endured unsuccessful labors.
