For my semester project, i want to focus on the financial problem that our country faces everyday. Student not being able to get financial funds for college. I believe that every student should get the opportunity to express their full potential and that is what i want to promote. Many of us have a lot of potential but don't get the opportunity to use it to our advantage. These strength can make the word a way better place for our society. This is a social cause that helps student to get those opportunity.
Both Guerilla Girls and Yes Man does not really relate to my project accordingly. They still promote social work that helps out the community that i can relate. I would relate my project more to the Yes Man because they do promote financial issues to family that can not afford college. ‘In July 2017, The Yes Men pranked the Democratic Party at Politicon. Following up the "Better Deal" agenda] released by the party a week earlier, prankster Andy Bichlbaum posed as Frank Spencer, Deputy Vice Chair for Civic Engagement of the Democratic National Committee . As part of the new #DNCTakeBack campaign, Spencer pushed a more ambitious and progressive Democratic agenda, including: Medicare for all, tuition-free college, public campaign financing, stronger unions, an end to corporate lobbying and the end of for-profit prisons.’
My complaint is why do we have to pay to be successful, I understand the phrase “spend money to make money” but many family dont have the capability to even have the opportunity to spend money for their children for college because of how outrageous the cost is. Promote more financial opportunity that doesn’t risk not going to college or being in debts
